PathXL accepted the kind invitation by Professor Marco Novelli to attend a Virtual Microscopy Workshop at University College London on 22 September 2011. The workshop was sponsored by Hamamatsu with Nikon and PathXL being the other two companies in attendance.
Professor Peter Hamilton from PathXL spoke about virtual microscopy being a tipping point in the history of pathology, while Des Speed and Katie McKinley gave demonstrations of the PathXL products.
There were a number of interesting talks in both the research and clinical fields of virtual microscopy as well as the opportunity for delegates to bring their slides along and see digital pathology slide scanning in action.
