Biobanking – i-Path Exhibiting at Biobanking 2011 in London

i-Path will be exhibiting at Biobanking in London from 11th – 12th July 2011. You are invited to join us at our exhibition stand to view a demonstration of our latest product PathXL BioBank.

PathXL BioBank is not just a tissue bank management system, rather it is integrated with virtual microscopy to allow viewing of relevant samples on-line prior to tissue-based research.

Slides can be digitally scanned using a bank of digital slide scanners and stored centrally by i-Path. Virtual slides are managed using the PathXL platform and can be instantly retrieved from storage using authorised access and viewed on-line using PathXL viewer anywhere in the world.

The system has already been developed for the Northern Ireland Biobank. Using the PathXL platform, tumour tissues and bloods from consenting patients will form a database of relevant, virtual samples ensuring efficiency and reliability when choosing samples for tissue biomarker search and translational research.
